Italianate in The Sanctuary

We loved building this fabulous Italianate style home in The Sanctuary Subdivision in Mandeville. If you’re not familiar with this style, it grew out of the Victorian design aesthetic of the mid-to-late- 1800’s and became prevalent in New Orleans from 1860-1885, in the Uptown/Irish Channel, Marigny/Bywater, Treme, and Mid-City neighborhoods. The style is characterized by ornate features, like Corinthian columns, corbels & brackets under eaves, and parapet walls. Check back in the coming weeks for updates, as we anticipate construction starting in mid-January.
